Dear colleagues!
By decision of the Board of the ROEC, in 2019, the ROEC training center was created on the basis of St. George's Hospital.
We invite you to a workplace-based internship in current topics in minimally invasive surgery.
Directions
- minimally invasive surgery (endovideosurgical hernioplasty of umbilical, femoral, inguinal, postoperative ventral hernias; laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic antireflux operations, laparoscopic suturing of perforated ulcers of the stomach and duodenum);
- endovideosurgical technologies in gynecology (diagnostic hysteroscopy; hysteroresectoscopy; laparoscopy);
- minimally invasive technologies in urology (endoscopy of the urinary tract, endovideosurgery);
- minimally invasive surgical treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities;
- endoscopic surgery of large joints of the limbs;
- flexible endoscopy (diagnostic fibrogastroduodenoscopy, fibrocolonoscopy; stenting of malignant and benign stenoses; resection of mucous and submucosal formations; ERCP, EPST; endoscopic hemostasis);
- surgical treatment of metabolic syndrome (all types of bariatric surgeries, including revision);
- lower extremity revascularization techniques (endovascular, open and hybrid approaches to revascularization of severe occlusive arterial lesions in patients with critical lower extremity ischemia);
- perioperative preparation with the participation of a multidisciplinary team according to an individually developed program;
- patient management according to the fast track protocol;
- aftercare program, including individual counseling and support groups.
We believe that team training of personnel (surgeon, anesthesiologist, operating room nurse) is advisable.
Anesthetic management of bariatric operations will be covered during a master class held directly at the workplace, in the operating room.
Close attention is paid to the issues of preoperative preparation and risk assessment in obese patients, the scope of monitoring and ensuring airway patency in the perioperative period, modern approaches to the problem of mechanical ventilation, adequate analgesia, infusion therapy and many other aspects.
Training of nursing staff includes advanced training in the specialty “Nursing”, “Operations”, “Anesthesiology and Reanimatology”.
Thematic cycles – 2 weeks.
On-the-job training is provided for 2 weeks and 1 month.
We are confident that our experience in the proposed sections will allow you to rationally implement them into your daily work.

Operating unit
The hospital has all modern technologies in surgical activities.
There is an opportunity to get acquainted with the device of the integrated operating room OR1, which today is a modern advanced product combining the latest world trends, both in medicine and in information technology.
In addition to high-quality Karl Storz surgical equipment, the operating room is equipped with video systems and high-definition monitors (FullHD), touch control monitors, LED lights, and automatic doors. The intuitive, user-friendly interface of the software allows the surgeon to easily control all equipment in the operating room from a sterile touch screen during surgery. There are also ample opportunities for documenting video and audio information and using it in the future for clinical discussions and the educational process. Much attention was paid to the air purification and conditioning system: in the operating room, systems that create a laminar flow of sterile air with adjustable temperature parameters over the surgical field were stopped.
For local fiber broadcasts from the operating room, video and audio are sent to the conference room and from the conference room back to the operating room, allowing for interactive demonstrations and workshops. The operating room provides ample opportunities for exchanging video and audio signals at any distance. The operating room is connected to the Internet, which allows you to broadcast image and sound from the operating room both to classrooms located in the hospital and to anywhere in the world. Communication with operating OR1s around the world is also provided to exchange experiences with colleagues and receive prompt advice. A flexible, standardized system of connectors and software makes it easy to integrate new equipment into the operating room, expanding its capabilities. Thus, working in the OR1 operating room, the surgeon can quickly, efficiently and safely perform his work without being distracted by minor details, which makes the operation for the patient fast, high-tech and safe.
The Center constantly conducts postgraduate advanced training courses in endovideosurgical technologies in surgery, gynecology, urology, and traumatology. Off-site courses and individual on-the-job training are provided.
In the learning process, simulators, educational computer programs, and video materials are used.
